Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t your typical power fantasy. Developer Warhorse Studios leans hard into realism—tracking hunger, sleep, and even shoe durability. Walk too much, and your boots wear out, forcing you to find a cobbler or go barefoot (which strips away any shoe bonuses).

But of course, the modding community has other plans.

A modder named rhyBread just dropped Infinite Shoe Durability, ensuring your footwear never falls apart. It’s part of a larger series of mods aimed at making life easier—more carry weight, longer-lasting cleanliness, no jump stamina drain, and wealthier merchants.

Some players are thrilled. One even called the shoe wear system the “worst new mechanic”, since shoes apparently last only two hours before breaking. Others, however, want some realism—just less punishing. So, rhyBread added an optional version that doubles shoe durability instead of removing it entirely.
