Starting January 23, 2025, players can continue to experience Krai’s high-octane action through Limited Playlists and Tournaments. This shift reflects the developers’ commitment to diversifying gameplay and introducing fresh content. COD Mobile’s  official Twitter account announced the update:

“Krai is embarking on a new journey! Starting in Season 1, Krai will not be part of our main BR mode rotation. But don’t worry—this is not farewell, just see you soon! Krai will return regularly in Limited Playlists and Tournaments as soon as January 23rd!”

What Made Krai Special?

Krai debuted as part of the Season 10: 5th Anniversary update and quickly earned its spot as a fan favourite. The map’s design drew inspiration from Russia’s administrative regions, known as Krais, and incorporated iconic areas from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, including Golova, Sanatorium, and Zoo. Its smaller size and fast-paced design made it a hotspot for intense battles, resonating strongly with players seeking action-packed gameplay.

While some fans will be disappointed that Krai will no longer be featured in the BR mode, this is always intended to be temporary.
