Discover all ARAM changes in LoL Season 2 Act 2: map rotation, Spirit Blossom update, Champion Cards, and draft bench system—launching June 25.
Now ARAM is not going to feel the same as before, because Riot Games has brought a lot of changes in this Season 2 Act 2. If you like chaos in mid lane, then it's better and weird at the same time.
League of Legends Three Maps Now? Yes, That's Happening
So, before, there was just Howling Abyss for all ARAMs. But now, suddenly there are three maps which gonna rotate. Riot added Back Butcher’s Bridge again, and also this new one called Koeshin’s Crossing.
-
Koeshin’s Crossing looks like a dream. It's full of pink trees and mystical vibes. There are portals (but not Hexgates exactly) that teleport players to fight faster.
-
Butcher’s Bridge has something called Power Flowers, which gives short buffs and a cannon for jumping across lanes… kinda wild.
-
And Howling Abyss? It’s still here, don’t worry, unchanged and cold like always.
This all helps make ARAM feel different each time, but still also ARAM, you know?
Champion Re-rolling is Not What It Was
They changed the re-roll system again. No more spam re-roll until lucky Yasuo.
Instead, there are Champion Cards now. You get 2 cards. You choose 1, and the other goes to a bench. Teammates can pick from the bench later if they want something better for themselves.
It gives more team coordination but also keeps random fun. Some say this was much much-needed change because before it was too frustrating.
When is It Coming to Live?
If nothing changes, patch 25.13 gonna drop these updates on June 25, 2025. That’s when all maps and the champion draft system should start.
Riot devs Pabro, Phrost and Cadmus are leading this shift. They are working on how to keep ARAM interesting even after so many years.
Why Should You Care About It
-
ARAM has been kinda the same for a long time, so new maps shake things good.
-
Drafting is a little smarter now. Less rage on bad champ rolls.
-
Also Spirit Blossom vibes feel fresh and seasonal. Riot is trying to make lore part of the play.
There may come hotfixes after launch, especially if portal timings or the bench system break the balance. Also, player feedback gonna matter a lot for what's next.
So basically, ARAM just got reinvented a bit. There are three maps now, the new Spirit Blossom map, champion card selection, and bench system, all of it releasing with Patch 25.13 on June 25. It's gonna be exciting and a little confusing too—but that’s what ARAM should be, right?
