LoL Wild Rift 6.1 Update: New Champions, Events, & Meta Shifts!

The battlefield is changing, and the stars are positioning themselves for a legendary overhaul. LOL Wild Rift Patch 6.1, known as "Ascending Stars," brings new content, exciting champion additions, and impactful gameplay tweaks. With fresh powerful champions, a revamped ARAM experience, and the coming of Ranked Season 17, this patch promises to shake things up in the Rift like never before.

New Champions & Champion Adjustments

The Wildrift 6.1 patch is about to kick off on April 17, 2025.

Three exciting champions join the Wild Rift roster in Patch 6.1:

• Ryze, the Rune Mage – A powerful battle mage with Realm Warp, allowing him to teleport allies strategically across the battlefield.

 

• Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare – A terrifying jungle assassin who excels in isolating and eliminating enemies from anywhere on the map.

 

• Zilean, the Chronokeeper – A time-wielding support mage who can rewind fate, slow enemies, and resurrect fallen allies.

 

 

Additionally, Garen and Ambressa receive key balance changes:

• Garen – His Judgment ability now deals increased damage and shreds enemy armor.
• Ambressa – Adjusted to thrive in the top lane, featuring reduced monster damage and improved sustain for better dueling potential.

Gameplay Overhaul & Item Updates

Patch 6.1 introduces exciting new mechanics and item updates:

• Enchanted Gifts – Special rift portals that grant temporary buffs during matches.
• Mage Boots Buff – Boots of Mana and Ionian Boots of Lucidity now enhance mage power and wave-clearing efficiency.
• Hextech GLP800 Boot Enchantment Infuses attacks with bonus magic damage while slowing enemies.
• New Items: Bandle Fantasy – Boosts magic attack power for spellcasters and Malignance – Burns enemies over time and reduces their magic resistance.

AAA-ARAM, Ranked Season 17 & Wild Pass Rewards

 

 

• A new iteration of ARAM debuts—AAA-ARAM, featuring Starry Fragments, which provide unique, game-changing buffs to intensify action-packed skirmishes. 
• The competitive scene heats as Ranked Season 17 begins on April 17, rewarding players with an exclusive Janna skin.
• The Wild Pass introduces the Wondertown Twisted Fate skin, while a second premium pass will feature Battlecast Nasus.

New Skins & Cosmetics Galore

Players can expand their collection with Soulfighter, Mecha, Porcelain, and Nightbringer skins, alongside a lineup of new exclusive cosmetics.
