Marvel Rivals bans Blitz to ensure fair play, reinforcing its stance against third-party tools.
Marvel Rivals has taken a decisive step in its fight against unfair play by banning Blitz, a third-party tool that provided players with unauthorised advantages. This decision underscores NetEase’s commitment to maintaining a competitive and balanced gaming experience as the game develops.
Cracking Down on Cheating
Even in beta, Marvel Rivals has vigorously enforced its anti-cheat policies. Last year, there were several high-profile streamers busted for cheating and exploiting, and it led to a clampdown where the devs implemented real-time systems of detection and punishment. And now, with Blitz banned, NetEase is doubling down and working even harder to provide a fair battlefield to all players.
Why Blitz?
Blitz worked by injecting itself into the processes of the game, pulling real-time information like damage figures, heal figures, and enemy status figures. This allowed users to inform strategic decisions that far exceeded that which was in mind, for example, estimating enemy ultimate choices and choosing bans on heroes using insider information. Seeing the competitive imbalance this engendered, NetEase publicly banned the tool, making players unable to utilize it to their advantage.
Community Concerns & Developer Assurances
While most people in the community are in favour of the ban, some of the players have expressed fears regarding unintended effects. The largest concern is that Blitz is widely utilized in other games, such as League of Legends. Players worry that having the software installed on their system without using it within Marvel Rivals could lead to penalties or bans.
NetEase has addressed such concerns, giving players a promise that no retrospective bans will be given for their past use of Blitz. However, the developers nonetheless advise uninstallation of the software to avoid future risks. The company is insistent on prohibiting third-party plugins that compromise the integrity of games, reiterating that measures will be strengthened as necessary.

Conclusion
As Marvel Rivals prepares to roll out new hot heroes such as the Human Torch and The Thing, fair play is still at the top of the agenda. Although some gamers are still sceptical about enforcement policy, NetEase's recent action sends a definitive message: there is no compromise on fair play. Fans eager to discover the game's expanding universe should keep their eyes open for sticking to the rules to ensure a pleasant and competitive environment for everyone.
