Marvel Rivals Confirms 10 Years of Support ; New Heroes, Maps & Events Ahead

NetEase Games is in it for the long haul with Marvel Rivals, promising at least 10 years of support for the hero shooter. Since its launch in late 2024, the game has been a massive hit, pulling in over 40 million players and cementing itself in the gaming world. Fans can look forward to plenty of new content as NetEase continues expanding the Marvel universe.

A Strong Start with Major Updates

Even though Marvel Rivals is still early in its lifespan, it's already received major updates packed with new heroes, skins, and maps. The game has introduced a mix of fan-favorite and lesser-known characters, keeping things fresh.

During NetEase's Q4 earnings call, it was revealed that Marvel Rivals will be supported for at least 10 years. Fans took this as great news, considering how successful the game has already been.

What’s Next for Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals launched with a solid lineup of 33 heroes and has already added the entire Fantastic Four. Season 1 focused heavily on Marvel’s First Family, introducing the team gradually over two months. However, this won’t be the standard pace going forward.

NetEase plans to release a new character every 45 days, which means about eight new heroes per year. If they keep this up for a full decade, the roster could grow by nearly 80 new characters.
