Marvel Rivals Is Keeping Most Players in Bronze 3: Here’s Why

New data on Marvel Rivals' Ranked mode has surfaced, revealing a stark reality: most players are struggling to escape Bronze 3. Despite months of gameplay, a massive chunk of the player base remains at the bottom, while only a handful have climbed to the highest tiers.

According to statistics from RivalsTracker, over 100,000 players are still in Bronze 3, while only 25,000 have managed to reach Bronze 2. The game features multiple ranks, from Bronze to the elite Eternity and One Above All. However, climbing the ladder requires significant dedication, and it seems most players either lack the time or the skill to progress.

Why Are Players Stuck?

Ranking up in Marvel Rivals follows a simple system: win matches to earn points, lose matches to drop them. The grind-heavy structure discourages casual players, making Ranked mode an uphill battle. While reaching higher ranks comes with rewards, like last season’s Moon Knight skin for Gold 3 players, the steep climb has left many stuck at the bottom.

Instead of grinding in Ranked, a large portion of Bronze 3 players prefer casual modes like Arcade and Quick Match. The game has introduced new modes, including Doom Match (a free-for-all battle) and Clone Rumble (where all players use the same character), adding variety beyond competitive play.

With Marvel Rivals Season 1 set to end on April 11, 2025, it remains to be seen if more players will push through the ranks or stay in Bronze. As the next season approaches, new incentives may encourage more players to take Ranked mode seriously.
