Unlock Magik Twitch Drops, grab her Frozen Demon bundle, and meet Ultron in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5. Here’s everything you need to know before July 16!
Marvel Rivals is keeping the hype alive with a new wave of Twitch Drops—and this time, it’s all about the sword-swinging sorceress Magik. Starting June 19, fans can earn a full set of free cosmetics just by kicking back and watching their favorite streamers. It’s part of the Season 2.5 celebration, which has already brought some big updates to the game, including the arrival of none other than Ultron.
Let’s break down what’s going on in the world of Marvel Rivals right now.
Magik Takes the Spotlight with Twitch Drops
If you’re a fan of Magik (or just love collecting exclusive loot), the new Twitch Drops are a must-watch event. NetEase Games has cooked up a solid lineup of rewards, and all it takes to unlock them is a bit of stream time.
Here’s the full Twitch Drops schedule:
- 1 Hour: Magik: Will of Galacta Spray
- 2 Hours: Magik: Will of Galacta Nameplate
- 4 Hours: Magik: Echoes of Limbo Emote
- 6 Hours: Magik: Will of Galacta Costume
These rewards will be up for grabs until July 16, so there’s plenty of time to catch streams and rack up the watch hours. Just make sure your Twitch and Marvel Rivals accounts are linked before you start watching.
Frozen Demon Magik Bundle Returns (But Not for Long)
Alongside the Twitch Drops, Magik’s Frozen Demon Bundle has made a limited-time comeback in the in-game shop. This icy alternate look debuted shortly after the game’s original launch in December 2024 and quickly became a fan favorite. If you missed it the first time around, now’s your chance—but don’t wait too long. The bundle leaves the store on June 20.
Ultron Arrives.. And Not Everyone's Impressed
Season 2.5’s biggest headline is probably the addition of Ultron, who swooped into Marvel Rivals as a flying Strategist hero. His villainous presence and sleek animations have been generally well received, but the game mode that came with him? Not so much.
Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol is a new limited-time mode that’s drawn criticism for being a bit of a time sink. Players have been reporting that a single match can stretch beyond the 30-minute mark, which feels like a drag in a game known for fast-paced action.
Still, if you want to score the exclusive rewards tied to the Battle Matrix mode, you’ll need to grind it out soon—the mode disappears on June 23.
Community Spotlight: Mantis Needs Some Love
While Ultron takes the skies and Magik dominates the cosmetics scene, players are also rallying around one very specific request: buff Mantis. The Strategist has fallen a bit behind the pack, and players are now asking NetEase to introduce percentage-based healing to make her kit more impactful and reliable.
It’s not the first time fans have called for changes, and with NetEase actively engaging with community feedback, it’s possible Mantis might see some adjustments in a future patch.
New Skins Across the Multiverse
Season 2.5 didn’t stop at just Magik and Ultron. The Future Foundation skins have officially dropped for three of the Fantastic Four:
- Invisible Woman and The Thing can now be suited up in the Future Foundation look via the in-game store.
- Mister Fantastic also gets the fancy new fit, but his is locked behind the Season 2.5 Combat Chest, so you’ll need a bit of luck to snag it.
Whether you’re chasing Magik cosmetics, experimenting with Ultron, or just trying to earn your next Battle Pass tier, Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals has delivered plenty to dig into. While not every addition has landed perfectly (looking at you, Battle Matrix Protocol), the mix of new content, returning skins, and Twitch Drops makes this a solid mid-season refresh.
