Marvel Rivals has launched its latest patch, bringing several gameplay improvements, cosmetic updates, and technical fixes to enhance the overall experience. The update, which went live on May 8 at 09:00 UTC, required no downtime, allowing players to dive back into the action immediately after installation.

Hive Mind Event Returns in Enhanced Form

The fan-favorite "Giant-Size Brain Blast" event has evolved into the "Giant-Size Hive Mind," encouraging synchronized team strategy. Players can join the event during two upcoming periods:

• May 9 to May 12
• May 16 to May 19

Both sessions start and end at 09:00 UTC.

New Store Items: Sunshine Bundles Arrive

Two new themed bundles are now available in the in-game store:

• Rocket Raccoon: Sunshine Raccoon Bundle
• Squirrel Girl: Sunshine Squirrel Bundle

These offer character-specific cosmetics aligned with the Sunshine theme.

User Interface and Cosmetic Updates

A significant overhaul of the emote and spray interface introduces more flexibility and speed for players looking to express themselves during matches. Key changes include:

• Emotes and sprays now occupy separate wheels, each with their own hotkeys for faster access.

A rare bug that incorrectly awarded the “Gifted Healer” badge to players who did not provide the most healing has been corrected.

Hero-Specific Fixes

Jeff the Land Shark: A display error that limited his Ultimate Ability icon count to five (despite devouring six opponents) in controller mode has been resolved.

Bruce Banner: All of his character forms can now correctly bind the jump action to the Spacebar, a problem that previously hindered gameplay flexibility.

Miscellaneous

An issue in anonymous mode where voice chat inadvertently revealed the player's original name has been fixed, reinforcing player privacy.
