Marvel Rivals Season 3 Launches New “Accessories” Cosmetic System: Earn Free Hero Charms

With the release of a new cosmetic type in Season 3 Marvel Rivals is cranking up the charm, quite literally, by adding an entirely new cosmetic category: Accessories. Each such trinket is a personality addition to your favorite characters that are served delightful and harmless, akin to weapon charms in other games such as Valorant or Apex Legends. Imagine an Emma Frost with a fashionable backpack, handbag, or a Psylocke with a katana that has a plush Orochi sling hanging off of it, cute but cuddly, homebrew flourish without modifying fundamental visuals 

What Are Accessories?

Accessories are thematic items which are small and which visibly append the model of their hero. Emma Frost has a Jeff Handbag that dangles off her wrist, Jeff the Land Shark has a mini Deadpool stuffed on his back fin, and Spider‑Man is wearing an MJ plush hanging on his belt. These extensions improve visual narration and create character style and every hero has kept their characteristic profile.

How to Unlock Them: Accessory Points

 

You will never have to reach into your wallet: accessories will be earned with the help of new in-game currency known as Accessory Points, that can be earned exclusively by playing games in Quick Match or Competitive sets. Although NetEase did not reveal how much each accessory will cost, leaks show that there may be a weekly limit regarding the speed of acquisition.

• Use hero selectable accessories by redeeming your points in a new cosmetic menu or store.
