Marvel Snap Unveils "Brave New World" Season: Sam Wilson, Thunderbolt Ross, and More!

  • February 04, 2025 (UPDATED: February 04, 2025 14:13 IST)

Marvel Snap's Brave New World season brings exciting new content, features, and updates, promising fresh strategies and gameplay experiences.

Marvel Snap’s latest season, Brave New World, introduces Sam Wilson as the new Captain America, along with five new cards, an exclusive Sanctum Showdown mode, and a fresh character mastery system. With major changes in deck strategies and progression rewards, players can expect a dynamic meta shift.

New Cards Shake Up the Meta

Sam Wilson, formerly Falcon, takes up the Captain America mantle in this season’s battle pass. His ability places Cap’s shield in a random location and gains power when moved. He works well with Ant-Man, Ka-Zar, and classic Captain America, enhancing ongoing decks.

The top five cards introduced this season bring powerful effects:

  • Joaquin Torres – Repeats on-reveal abilities for 1-cost cards, doubling their impact.

  • Thunderbolt Ross – Draws a 10+ power card when the opponent has unspent energy, strengthening big-power decks.

  • Redwing – Moves and adds a card from the player’s hand, enabling early gameplays for Magneto, Heimdall, or Infinaut.

  • Diamondback – Weakens opponent cards by inflicting negative power, countering high-power plays.

Game-Changing Features

A limited-time Sanctum Showdown mode arrives on February 18. Unlike traditional matches, players score points per turn from controlled locations. The Sanctum location moves each turn and grants bonus points. The first player to 16 points wins, with strategies evolving throughout the match.

A Sanctum Shop will also be available, featuring Series 4 and 5 cards like Uncle Ben, Gorgon, and Lyra.

New locations include Madripoor and Smithsonian Museum, adding fresh battlegrounds to shake up matches. Players can also expect exclusive Season Pass variants for Sam Wilson, classic Captain America, and Falcon.

The Character Mastery system rewards dedication to favorite heroes and villains. Each character now has a progression track with unlockables like unique flares and finishes. Reaching level 30 unlocks exclusive reaction sets and a gold diamond flare.
