May 2025 Wave 2 Titles Arrive on Xbox Game Pass with New Releases and Key Departures

Microsoft has announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for May 2025, showcasing an exciting array of new games hitting the service, including several launching on day one.

New Titles Arriving Throughout Late May

The rollout begins immediately with Monster Train 2, available from day one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Following this, on May 22, three games—Creatures of Ava, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2—will be added to the Xbox Series X/S lineup under the standard Game Pass tier. Alongside these, Tales of Kenzera: Zau will also launch across cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

After a brief pause in releases, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will join the service on May 27, accessible on cloud, console, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and the standard tier. The following day, May 28, brings another day-one addition, To a T, available on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S for Ultimate and PC Game Pass users.

The final wave of May titles arrives on May 29 with two games: Metaphor ReFantazio and Spray Paint Simulator, both debuting on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. While Metaphor ReFantazio is accessible to all tiers including Game Pass Standard, Spray Paint Simulator is limited to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Early June Titles

Some games will carry over into June, with Crypt Custodian and Symphonia set for release on June 3 across cloud, console, and PC, available to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Standard subscribers.

Games Exiting the Service

As is customary, May also sees several titles leaving the Game Pass library after the 31st. The departing games include Cassette Beasts, Firework, Humanity, Remnant 2, and Slayer X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengeance of the Slayer. The list is notably shorter than previous months, giving subscribers ample time to enjoy these titles before their removal.
