The Current Hero Upgrade Process

Rather than upgrading heroes, players can use Hero Potions, available through the Raid Medal Shop, to temporarily boost hero stats. By purchasing up to three Hero Potions each week, players can maintain max-level heroes for every war attack without investing in hero upgrades. This method frees up builders for other base upgrades, allowing players to progress through town halls faster.

The Impact of the Hero Hall

The introduction of the Hero Hall offers players a chance to upgrade one hero while still using the remaining four. However, this still requires committing a builder, which can delay progress, especially when upgrading heroes at lower town hall levels. Additionally, players can optimize their use of magic items to accelerate progress, but upgrading heroes too early may delay the use of these valuable resources.

When Should You Upgrade Heroes?

While upgrading heroes may seem tempting, it’s recommended to delay hero upgrades until Town Hall 16 or 17. At these levels, players will benefit from the most effective magic item use and access to stronger Hero Potions. Upgrading one hero at a time also maximizes Book of Hero's efficiency, offering the best value for your upgrades.
