Phantom Blade Zero: New Gameplay Details, Combat Depth, and Development Insights

Phantom Blade Zero released by Chinese studios released a trailer about a week ago which showcased its depths of combat, increasing the anticipation further for this game. However,interesting new game details via interviews were found. The interviews are articles from major media on Bilibili, Weibo, and other platforms.

Phantom Blade Zero takes the form of an action-RPG featuring themes from Asian cultures, and sprinkles a healthy dose of martial arts and steampunk over the proceedings for good measure. Set in a Phantom World, the game sees players controlling an assassin, Soul, who has been framed for the murder of the leader of The Order.

Soul is mortally wounded, but saved by a magic healer, albeit only for 66 days. As such, Phantom Blade Zero’s narrative feels like a race against time as you must work to defeat The Order’s enemies and bring those responsible to justice.

The game’s playtime length is aroun 20-30 for the side content. This means there is a lot of side content for Phantom Blade Zero. As far as the main story is concerned, it’s in the average range that most AAA games target.

The interview also provides more developmental insights, such as the statement that more than 100 developers are currently working on the title! That huge number of developers hints that the game’s development is going smoothly and all issues will be resolved quickly. 

There are four difficulty options for players- easy, ordinary, difficult, and extremely difficult. This suggests that the game will be more accessible and versatile so that various types of players can enjoy the game at their own level and speed. This ensures a place for both casual gamers and hardcore gamers.

The game's boss fight has two phases and if players die in the 2nd phase, they will resurrect directly into the 2nd phase. This makes combat a bit easier compared to others in which players have to restart from the 1st phase which is a very annoying position to be in. 

The game also received a lot of funds from investors to make this game so amazing.
