Wuthering Waves officially reveals Phrolova as a 5-star Havoc Rectifier user debuting in Version 2.5. Discover her weapon, attribute, release date, and her impactful role in both gameplay and story.
Kuro Games has finally announced the most awaited playable version of Phrolova in the Wuthering Waves, who is now officially confirmed with a weapon type and element attribute. Introduced earlier into the game as a villain in the plot, Phrolova will be made playable once the 2.5 update is released on July 24, 2025. The update does not just bring her into the roster but also establishes the atmosphere of a new era of Septimont saga.
Phryglova's Weapon and Attribute Revealed in Wuthering Waves
Phrolova will be a 5-star figure that uses the Rectifier weapon and has the Havoc attribute. The Rectifier, which has a ranged and whip-like fighting style, and a state of fluidity in character design, is fairly uncommon throughout Havoc characters. This makes Phrolova unique in both mechanics and adaptability when it comes to team-building. The typical user of Havoc attributes is concentrated in risk-high reward play-styles, primarily dealing high levels of damage but with little or no defensive value. Phrolova appears, though, to introduce a more elegant measure into this archetype.
The fact that she was once an enemy of the Fractsidus, later becoming an ally, reveals her backstory and adds depth to her character. This change has not been lost by the developers as they have infused various visual elements of her boss form Hecate into her battle routine animation and design. It not only makes her a visually impressive beauty, but it also makes the lore associations fans have been hypothesizing upon since release stronger.
Phrolova is supposed to be a primary DPS choice in combat, and she can become a team leader because of her high burst potential and long-term capacity to deal elemental damage. Because of the way Havoc and Rectifier interact, she could pair well with or support characters that provide de-buffs, healing, or crowd control to prolong her presence in-game.
In a word, the release of Phrolova will not simply disrupt the composition of teams, but it will also increase the palette of characters in the game. Her inclusion suggests the focus of Kuro Games involves further augmentation of the narrative component with the gameplay invention, and as such, she remains one of the core aspects of the forthcoming patch.
