PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for May include Ark, Balatro, and Boltgun from May 6.
Sony has revealed its PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for May, with a set of three varied titles that provide gamers with experiences from survival in prehistoric times to sci-fi combat inspired by the retro era. From May 6, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun for free until June 2.
Ark: Survival Ascended – PS5
This remastered version of the popular survival adventure has been built entirely with Unreal Engine 5. Gamers are transported to a fertile, treacherous world where tribes can be formed, dinosaurs tamed and bred, settlements constructed, and tools crafted to survive. With the improved graphics, better physics, and quality-of-life improvements, Ark: Survival Ascended provides a refreshed experience and features all maps from the original game. Multiplayer is varied, supporting online play for up to 70 players, smaller private matches for eight, and two-player split-screen co-op.
Balatro – PS4, PS5
Balatro combines traditional poker with roguelike deck-building gameplay. Players build hands from a combination of standard cards and powerful Joker cards that provide strategic bonuses. Each playthrough offers new chances to unlock decks, find hidden combinations, and win chips to battle harder blinds. Its fundamental game encourages experimentation and synergy, providing depth and randomness in each and every hand.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – PS4, PS5
Completing the month's lineup is a nostalgic throwback to 90s-era shooters, located in the grimdark world of Warhammer 40K. Boltgun puts players in the power armor of a Space Marine, wielding a mighty boltgun and tasked with destroying heretics and daemons. Featuring stylized retro graphics, frenetic action, and expansive level design, the game seeks to recapture the essence of classic FPS games set in the grimy sci-fi world of the franchise.
All three games will be downloadable for PlayStation Plus subscribers between May 6 and June 2.
