Pokemon GO New Hatch Day Event for August 2025 Revealed

Pokémon GO will be hosting a special Hatch Day event for Munchlax, allowing trainers to hatch Munchlax with dedicated focus. The event will take place on Saturday, August 9, 3025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time. This will give trainers six full hours to play the event. Six hours is significantly longer than previous Hatch Day events, especially after hearing community feedback with requests for extended time to play.

Munchlax will be the featured Pokémon of Hatch Day, and players will get a much better chance of hatching Munchlax from 2 km Eggs during this time. Trainers will also have a much better chance at hatching a Shiny Munchlax, giving collectors a new field challenge.

Trainers who enter the Munchlax Hatch Day can expect a variety of exciting bonuses that will help improve their experience hatching Pokémon Eggs. During the event period, players will receive double the Candy when they hatch any Egg, in addition to spinning PokéStops, giving them an additional chance of receiving 2 km Eggs. Most noteworthy for all Eggs that will go into incubators is the half-hatch distance bonus.

This specific bonus starts two days in advance of the event, starting on Thursday, August 7, at 10:00 AM (local time), and will be active until the event ends on August 9 at 5:00 PM. With an extra couple of days, half hatch distance, trainers can prepare for and maximize their egg-hatching opportunity before and during the event.

Munchlax Hatch Day for August 2025

As part of Munchlax Hatch Day, there will be special Timed Research opportunities available. All trainers can participate in an event-exclusive Timed Research for free! You will get a free Incubator and 5,000 XP if you complete it.  You will also have the option to purchase a Timed Research ticket for USD 1.99 to receive additional rewards.
