Rainbow Six Siege X Exploit Crashes Matches Globally, Ubisoft Races to Patch the Issue

A game-breaking X exploit in Rainbow Six Siege is crashing entire matches. Ubisoft responds swiftly with a fix underway and temporary measures in place.

A very weird exploit is upsetting the whole Rainbow Six Siege player community. Known by players as “X Exploit,” the problem is causing the crashing of matches all over, creating a big worry about game security. Ubisoft already said something on this issue, and they are trying to solve it quickly.

What is Happening With the X Exploit in Rainbow Six Siege? Can You Fix It?

Earlier this week, players were talking about some weird things that have started in the game. This “X Exploit” is happening because of some unknown in-game glitch, possibly some gadget being put in, or a character who is making it happen. What this does is-- it makes all players’ games shut down at once. It does not just happen on PC, but consoles also.

Many video clips have gone viral on Reddit and X (previously Twitter) that show full matches stopping suddenly, everyone is kicked out, or the whole game closes without warning. In ranked modes, it causes players lose their scores and progress because of these sudden leaves.

Ubisoft Has Spoken and Doing Something

On July 6, Ubisoft told in one official statement that they knew about this “serious issue affecting current live servers.” They also say that they have found how the exploit works and are now fixing it with urgency. A special patch is already in preparation and expected to come soon.

Ubisoft mentioned, “We are taking this situation with much seriousness. We keep the game safe and stable for all players.” For now, some operator gadgets are disabled from matches because they may be linked to the bug. However, Ubisoft does not mention exact operator names.

Before the patch is fully ready and pushed, Ubisoft recommends not playing ranked modes or any important matches. Players are also being requested to report all weird activity from inside the game or on the Ubisoft website.

This is not the first time that Rainbow Six Siege has faced major issues, but the community is now hoping Ubisoft will fix this one faster and properly. The quickness of the company’s response can maybe help regain trust if the fix doesn’t fail.
