Regnum Carya Esports crowned 2025 PMGO champions after a thrilling grand finals in Tashkent.
Regnum Carya Esports emerged victorious at the 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO), securing their first-ever international championship title and delivering a thrilling conclusion to the tournament held at the Zo’r TV venue in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Turkish team redeemed their narrow one-point loss at the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) with a dominant performance that earned them 106 points across 12 matches.
The win not only brings them the coveted title but also marks a significant milestone in the team’s journey, especially for veteran player Sylas, who adds a second global title to his name after winning the 2022 PMGC with a former squad.
PMGO Opens 2025 Season with a Bang
The 2025 PMGO marked the official start of this year’s PUBG MOBILE Esports season, with over 90,000 amateur players registering during the Open Qualifiers. As the first global-level tournament of the season, it set the tone for what promises to be an action-packed competitive year. With a $500,000 prize pool and a World Cup qualifying slot on the line, the tournament attracted fierce competition and international attention.
As champions, Regnum Carya Esports have secured an additional regional slot for the 2025 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC), which will be held as part of the prestigious Esports World Cup series in Riyadh.
The Grand Finals featured 16 qualified teams battling it out over two days. Regnum Carya Esports stood out early, ending the first day with two Chicken Dinners and an 11-point lead. However, the second day tested their resilience, as they struggled to maintain their dominance. Despite an early elimination in the final match, their consistent performance across the tournament was enough to keep them at the top.
Meanwhile, the rise of amateur teams added a fresh narrative to the tournament. GOAT Quality, a European underdog squad, made a strong impression with back-to-back podium finishes, nearly snatching the title in the final moments. Similarly, Uzbekistan’s THE721 AGGRESSOR and Nepal’s NEPX Esports delivered memorable performances, with the latter playing spoiler in the decisive final match, eliminating GOAT Quality’s last hope.
While the title went to Regnum Carya, individual brilliance was also recognized. 4Merical Vibes’ standout player, DOK, was named MVP of the Grand Finals for his stellar showing scoring 19 eliminations, 17 knockdowns, and 9 assists throughout the competition. His efforts helped cement 4Merical Vibes’ place among the top contenders.
