Riot Will Now Warn You Before Banning You in Valorant

Riot Games is rolling out a new behavior transparency system in VALORANT that lets players view their behavioral standing and avoid bans before it’s too late. Read on to understand in detail!

It’s finally happening! Riot Games is letting you see your behavioral standing in VALORANT, and no, it’s not just a generic “you’ve been reported” pop-up this time.

In a recent update, Riot announced a new system that adds more visibility into how your actions are affecting your account’s status. So if you've been queue dodging, leaving matches, or just generally being that guy in voice chat, you'll now know exactly what the issue is. Okay, now you understand it — cool, if you're wondering why it's actually a great move:

VALORANT’s New Behavior Tracking System: What It Means

Think of it like a report card, but instead of grades, it tells you how close you are to being muted, restricted, or outright banned. You’ll see real-time behavioral standings, so there’s less of that "wait, what did I even do?" confusion and more "okay yeah, I did rage quit three times last week" self-awareness. It's going to directly impact ban appeals and create more time for riot to focus on other important issues.

This transparency update is part of Riot’s larger effort to actually improve the in-game experience by nudging players to course-correct before its punishment time. It’s a warning shot, not a guillotine.

Fair Warning By Riot

According to Riot, this new feature is aimed at giving players a fair shot to change their behavior before receiving penalties. So if you're on thin ice, you'll see it. No more “sudden” chat bans because you're tilted. You’ll now get a preview of your behavioral standing to help reign your behavior in

It’s a surprisingly chill move from Riot, and honestly? A welcome one. No one likes surprises, unless it’s an ace; even then only 5 out of 10 players actually like it. So, what do you think about this move? W or unnecessary?
