Solo Leveling Season 3 Likely to Reveal Sung Jinwoo's Real Story

  • April 15, 2025 (UPDATED: April 15, 2025 15:35 IST)

If Season 3 comes out in 2026, a lot may be learned about Sung Jinwoo, but it will start by continuing from the breadcrumbs it left us with in season two.

Solo Leveling's second season left a lot of space for prediction and speculation from the fans. But since season two was concluded on a cliffhanger, all information on Solo Leveling Season 3 is based on speculation and past timelines. Looking at the past seasons' trends, one can reasonably expect the release of the new season in early 2026, around January.

If Season 3 comes out in 2026, a lot may be learned about Sung Jinwoo, but it will start by continuing from the breadcrumbs it left us with in season two.

Solo Leveling Season 3 Chapter Length

Considering the manhwa's progression, Season 3 is highly anticipated to pick up where Season 2 left off, likely starting with the Recruitment Arc. This would then follow through to other major arcs, including the Ahjin Guild Arc, where Sung Jinwoo forms his guild, and possibly the Double Dungeon Arc, which is of great importance as it goes back to the site of Jinwoo's first awakening and offers greater revelations about the System.

Several fans are also speculating over the possibility of including the Japan Crisis Arc, a critical plot that sees the arrival of a large gate in Tokyo, and the International Guild Conference Arc, which introduces the main characters on the international level and might even allude to the impending danger of the Monarchs. Other theories state that because of the large amount of material, the Dragon Monarch Arc and the Time Rewind Arc, which are very important segments of the conclusion of the manhwa, could be made into a movie or reserved for an ultimate season.

Season 2 wrapped up sometime around chapter 111 of the manhwa, which has a total of 177 chapters before the main story is wrapped up, plus an epilogue. This leaves a substantial amount of content for future seasons. With the success of the first two seasons in bringing the source material to life, fans are generally hopeful that Season 3 will keep bringing the suspenseful action and epic plot twists that the series is renowned for.

Season 3 Theories From Manhwa Explored

One of the thrilling aspects that could be delved into in Season 3 is the richer lore of Sung Jinwoo's abilities, the System, and the Monarchs' and Rulers' roles. The introduction of the Beast and Frost Monarchs after Season 2 and the teases regarding Jinwoo's father's role indicate that the next season will finally explore the secrets behind Jinwoo's special abilities and the greater conflict building in the Solo Leveling world.

There's also speculation surrounding how the anime will approach some of the aspects of the manhwa. For example, some fans have mentioned the anime's proclivity to suppress the comedic chibi-style expressions and how it will approach the series' nationalist theme, which was stronger in the manhwa. Whether or not these stylistic developments will continue to inform the anime's adaptation of the future arcs remains to be seen.

Also of great interest are the fans' desire to watch the animation of significant events in the manhwa in Season 3, including Jinwoo's fights in the Double Dungeon, his encounter with other strong hunters at the International Guild Conference, and the developing crisis in Japan. The new and powerful Shadow Soldiers like Greed (the former Hwang Dongsoo) are also a top-notch development eagerly awaited.

As the wait for official announcements goes on, the great success of the initial two seasons and the depth of the source material are more than enough to keep Solo Leveling fans looking forward to the eventual release of Season 3, which is set to be a turning point in Sung Jinwoo's remarkable journey.
