Solo Leveling's Elite: Exploring the S-Rank Hunters

Two weeks ago Solo Leveling Season 2 was released with very positive feedback and record breaking views on crunchyroll. The Second episode of the season showed a standoff between Baek Yoon Ho and Hwang Dang Soo who are S rank hunters which was a visual spectacle for the fans.

S-Rank hunters are a pinnacle of the Hunters in the Solo Levelling world. In the manhwa universe the hunters of the world are divided into different ranks based on their combat ability, hunter skills and overall power level. Let's look at the different S-rank hunters featured in the Light Novel, Manhwa and Anime of Solo Leveling

S-Rank Hunters in Solo Leveling

Sung Jin Woo

Let's start the list with the most obvious S-Ranker of the series. He is the only ranker in the series who grows up with each battle, after discovering the system from in the double dungeon he has changed his rank from E to S after each battle. Before he attained the title Monarch of Shadows. He is very proficient in combat along with the skill to summon a shadow army to help him in all the battles.

Thomas Andre

He is a S-rank hunter from the US with monstrous power and combat ability. Along with that he is one of the hunters who has power bestowed by one of the rulers. His hunter's nickname is Goliath. This is bestowed after his stature and the ability knock down enemies with his bare hands. 

Goto Ryuji

He is a S-rank hunter from Japan, and he was requested by the Korean Hunter association to help out in the Jeju Island Raid. When he first arrived in Korea he wanted to pick fights with all the participating S-rankers of Korea. He is a master swordsman and excellent strategist.

Yuri Orloff

He is a S-rank from Russia, and he was requested by the Japanese Hunter association to hold back the invasion by the Monarch of Giants in the country. He is well known for his Barrier Magic. Along with his skill he is very arrogant and greedy, he charges enormous compensation per day to hold back the invasion.

Go Gunhee

He is the head of the Korean Hunter Association. He is one of the most experienced veterans among the existing one in the world. Anlong with this he is also blessed with authority of one of the rulers. He has been a guiding influence on Sung Jin woo in the series, helping in his growth as a hunter and later saviour of the world.

Min Byung-Gu

He is the only S-ranker in the World with Healer abilities. Along with that he has the strength of an A-ranker. Thus making him a formidable opponent and a well renowned one. He has excellent battle presence and quick thinking making a huge asset in the Jeju Island Raid.
