Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds teams up with Nickelodeon! SpongeBob, TMNT, and more arrive with new tracks, karts, and rewards in July 2025.
It has now been confirmed officially that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is collaborating with Nickelodeon, which is something fans probably didn't see coming. SEGA announced the crossover recently, mixing the world of Sonic’s speed and action with the colorful characters from some of Nickelodeon’s best known shows. The event’s news has already got people talking.
Nickelodeon Characters Coming Into the Game
Apparently, several characters from Nickelodeon are going to become part of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for a limited time event. It’s been shown in teasers that SpongeBob SquarePants, Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even Danny Phantom will be joining. These characters each get their own special kart and skills that kind of fits with the gameplay, but with their own twist.
Some fans are excited while others a bit confused how these characters will fit with Sonic and friends, but SEGA seems confident that the mix will work alright. Especially with younger players and nostalgic gamers who grew up on Nickelodeon stuff.
Tracks, Items and Other New Things
There will also be some new tracks that are based on the Nickelodeon worlds. Names like Bikini Bottom Speedway and Ghost Zone Loop were already leaked or teased, which indicates a lot of creativity behind it. The new maps are said to include hazards and objects that resemble things from the shows, but still playable in the Sonic racing style.
And yes, there’s also cosmetics. You can unlock skins, maybe even power-ups themed around Nickelodeon. The visuals might be a bit wild, but it fits the tone of this collab, more or less.
When’s It Starting and Who Can Play
So, the event gonna start in early July 2025, even though the actual date isn’t told yet. Players should keep checking the game or social media for updates. The collab will be available to everyone who plays on Android and iOS, no region limits mentioned yet.
Also, before the event starts, the game will be updating with a patch that brings all the new content in. Make sure you update or else you maybe can’t join the event.
Why This Collab Even Matters
For SEGA and Nickelodeon, this seems to be a smart move. They are bringing two totally different fanbases together, hoping that both old fans and newer gamers would enjoy. With mobile games being so competitive now, these kind of collabs can keep people interested longer.
It might not be the crossover anyone expected, but it could end up being one of the most fun ones we’ve seen in a while.
