Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has struck a major deal with Telegram to integrate its Grok chatbot into the popular messaging platform. As part of the agreement, xAI will pay Telegram a total of $300 million, a combination of cash and equity. The announcement was made by Telegram’s founder and CEO, Pavel Durov, via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
A Strategic Expansion for Grok with Telegram Partnership
Grok, the AI chatbot developed by xAI, is already available on Musk’s social media platform X. This partnership with Telegram marks Grok’s first major expansion beyond that ecosystem.
