VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025: Dates, Teams & Everything We Know So Far

The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring some of the biggest competitive games, including VALORANT, League of Legends, and Teamfight Tactics. Thanks to a three-year partnership between Riot Games and the Esports World Cup, VALORANT will be making its EWC debut this year.

With the tournament just months away, here’s everything we know about the VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025, including dates, format, and other featured games.

VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025 Schedule

The VALORANT EWC will run from July 8 to July 13, featuring a 16-team tournament split into multiple stages.

Tournament Format

• Group Stage (July 8-10)

  • Features 16 teams, split into groups (yet to be announced).
  • 12 matches on the first day, followed by four matches each on days two and three.
  • The top eight teams move on to the Playoffs.

• Playoffs (July 11-13)

  • A single-elimination format determines the final two teams.
  • Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Grand Finals decide the champion.

There’s no official prize pool announcement for the VALORANT event yet. However, League of Legends has already confirmed a $2 million prize pool, so expectations are high for VALORANT’s payout.

Which Teams Will Compete?

As of now, the participating teams have not been announced. However, since Riot Games is involved, it’s likely that franchised VCT teams and possibly top Ascension teams will receive invites. More details should be revealed in the coming months.
