VALORANT Mobile Announced for 2025: here's Everything You Need To Know

  • April 21, 2025 (UPDATED: April 21, 2025 16:10 IST)

VALORANT Mobile is officially on the way! Developed by Riot Games and LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, the tactical shooter hits China first with a global launch set for Q3 2025. Get the latest on beta access, features, and India’s response.

Riot Games and LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS are teaming up to bring your favorite tactical shooter to your phone—and the hype is real.
On April 21, 2025, Riot dropped the big news via the @ValorINTEL X (formerly Twitter) account: VALORANT Mobile is officially a thing! And yep, it’s got the whole gaming world buzzing.

PC to Pocket: The VALORANT Journey

Launched back in 2020, VALORANT quickly carved out its space in the PC esports world with a killer combo of crisp gunplay and unique agent abilities.
Now Riot's making the leap to mobile, and they’re doing it with some serious firepower: LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, aka the minds behind PUBG Mobile and UNDAWN, are helping with the transition. With their mobile expertise, expect all the classic VALORANT vibes—Raze rockets and all—optimized for your fingertips.

First Stop: China

Riot is kicking things off with a China-first release, and honestly, it makes total sense.

According to a 2024 Newzoo report, China alone pulled in $45 billion of the global $92.6 billion mobile gaming revenue. Yeah… those are big numbers.
Pre-registrations in China opened on April 21, 2025, complete with shiny exclusive player cards as early bird rewards. A limited beta will hit before the full rollout to make sure things are running smoother than a Phoenix molly.

India Reacts: Excited, But Cautious

Now let’s talk India. While the hype is building here too, some fans are giving the announcement a bit of side-eye.

Memories of the 2020 PUBG Mobile ban still sting, especially with China-linked privacy concerns once again making headlines. There’s also an ongoing case against Krafton over alleged data breaches in BGMI, so yeah, people are understandably nervous.

Some players are also wondering: Will there be cross-progression with PC? Riot hasn’t confirmed, but fingers crossed.

Worldwide Launch Incoming (Hopefully)

Despite the bumps, Riot is charging forward with plans for a global launch in Q3 2025. They’ve promised to keep everyone updated and are clearly putting in the work to make VALORANT Mobile just as polished and competitive as the original.

Final Thoughts: Tactical Gaming, Now in Your Pocket

VALORANT Mobile isn’t just a port—it’s a full-on expansion of one of the biggest names in tactical shooters. And with LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS helping out, it could genuinely raise the bar for mobile gaming.

Whether you’re grinding ranked on PC or planning to frag out on your phone, one thing’s for sure: the future of VALORANT is mobile—and it’s looking amazing.
