VALORANT Patch 10.00 introduces Tejo, new cosmetics, map rotations, and Season 2025. It also brings Automatic Remake Voting, Esports Hub updates for VCT25, and bug fixes for improved gameplay.
VALORANT’s Patch 10.00 is packed with exciting updates that promise to redefine the game’s competitive landscape. With the introduction of Tejo, a new Initiator agent, enhanced cosmetics, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes, players have much to look forward to. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest patch.
Tejo: The Colombian Explosions Expert
The spotlight of Patch 10.00 is Tejo, the Colombian Initiator who brings a mix of explosive power and strategic utility to the team. Tejo’s abilities include:
-
Special Delivery: A sticky grenade that players can fire to attach to surfaces, causing a concussive explosion that disrupts enemies in the blast radius. For added versatility, Tejo can alter the trajectory with an ALT FIRE for a single bounce.
-
Stealth Drone: This drone can be deployed to seek out enemies and suppress them with a revealing pulse, offering both vision and control on the battlefield.
-
Guided Salvo: With a targeting system, Tejo can choose up to two points on the map to fire guided missiles that autonomously navigate toward their targets and explode on impact, causing significant damage.
-
Armageddon: Tejo’s ultimate ability involves selecting a strike path on the map, and unleashing a series of explosive waves along the designated route. Players can cancel the strike’s origin if needed.
Tejo’s abilities make him a potent tool for disruption and area control. His staggered rollout starts on January 8th, so players worldwide will soon be able to harness his power.
Season 2025 and Map Rotation
VALORANT shifts away from its episodic structure with the introduction of Season 2025, a year-long format divided into six acts. This new system provides a more consistent and predictable schedule for both competitive players and casual fans. Along with the seasonal change, there will be a full rank reset at the beginning of the season, with another reset slated for midseason.
Patch 10.00 also brings a new Map Rotation system. From now on, maps will rotate every act, ensuring fresh challenges for players. As of this patch, Fracture and Lotus return to the competitive and Deathmatch queues, while Ascent and Sunset are temporarily removed.
Enhanced Cosmetics and Esports Hub
Cosmetic customization receives an exciting update with the addition of the FLEX system, now accessible in the Expressions Wheel (previously the Spray Wheel). Every player receives the default FLEX STAT-COM, and they can equip different FLEX items to express themselves during gameplay.
The Esports Hub is also making a return, revamped for VCT25. This hub offers an overview of the year-long VCT season, showcasing new team rosters, league standings, and upcoming events. The International League Kickoff, beginning on January 11, will be a key highlight for esports fans.
Gameplay Tweaks and System Updates
One of the most welcomed gameplay changes is the introduction of Automatic Remake Voting. If a player is AFK in the first round, a remake vote will now automatically start, and a majority vote of the remaining players (three out of four) is required for the vote to pass. This system reduces the frustration of stalled matches and ensures quicker match resolutions.
The patch also includes some minor quality-of-life improvements, such as the faster equip time for Brimstone’s Stim Beacon, making him more responsive in critical situations.

Additionally, there are updates to ability effects, particularly for explosion-based agents like Raze, Sova, and Gekko. These changes ensure more consistent damage application, especially in scenarios where abilities might have failed to register against level geometry.
Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Patch 10.00 brings a series of bug fixes to improve both the visual and gameplay experience:
-
Agent Fixes: Several agents, including Skye and Phoenix, had bugs fixed, such as issues with Guiding Light’s scaling flash duration and visual offsets with Blaze’s effects.
-
Gameplay Bugs: Fixes include improvements to the Sky Smoke dissipation effect and addressing weapon inconsistencies in Aim Down Sights.
However, there are some lingering issues, like the Expressions Wheel occasionally appearing blank in custom games when certain cheats are enabled. Riot has assured players that a fix is in the works.
