Valorant Player florescent has been Accused of Sexual Assault

  • India Today Gaming
  • May 18, 2025 (UPDATED: May 18, 2025 02:18 IST)

Valorant pro player florescent has been accused of sexual assault by a former partner’s friend. The allegations have sparked serious discussions in the esports community, as florescent denies the claims and takes legal action.

Ava “florescent” Eugene, the first woman to play in a Tier 1 Valorant league, has been accused of sexual assault. The claims were made public by Marceline “karie” Carson, a former Game Changers player, who shared a detailed Google Doc describing the alleged events. Karie says she is speaking on behalf of a friend who goes by the name “Brick,” and the document paints a disturbing picture of what reportedly happened during Brick’s relationship with florescent.

According to the statement, Brick initially agreed to a sexual encounter with florescent, but says she later felt pressured to continue after experiencing pain and wanting to stop. Brick claims she clearly asked florescent to stop, but that florescent continued, causing physical injuries, including bleeding. The document also includes text conversations said to be between Brick and florescent, where Brick appears to express discomfort and pain, though the identities in the messages are kept anonymous for privacy.

florescent has Responded to the Sexual Assault Allegations

florescent, who is also considered a strong MVP contender in the ongoing 2025 Game Changers circuit, has responded publicly. She denied all the allegations and said she is taking legal steps to address the situation. In her statement, she wrote:

“I’m aware of the allegations that were made against me and take them very seriously. However, I strongly deny any and all accusations of SA. I’m currently treating this matter with my full attention.”

The response has sparked intense conversations online. For many, florescent's rise in Valorant was a breakthrough moment, not just for her career, but for women in esports more broadly. Now, that moment is under a cloud of uncertainty as these allegations come to light.

So far, Riot Games has not issued any public comments regarding the situation, and no official legal documents or investigations have been shared with the public.
