Valorant Replay System: Community Reactions to Riot's Announcement

The recent news from Riot Games got a reaction out of the Valorant community on the replay system. Some players are cautiously optimistic, and others are frustrated at how long it has taken for this feature.

Valorant executive producer Anna Donlon replies to concern about the replay system during a press conference which went a lot of different ways. Some fans expressed doubts at promises made and yet no action taken.

Reddit user YOUVEGOTTABESQUID remarked on the pattern of broken promises, while DN6666 shed light on the lack of communication regarding the replay system from Riot Games.

The community's longing for such a replay system lies in all the positive aspects it could bring. Players say this would help them improve gameplay experiences, catch cheaters and make content. But questions remain about the technical difficulty of the maneuver.

Reddit user SaltMaker23 responded to concerns surrounding replays in relation to data security and storage, and said that offering up replays might put cheaters in possession of important data without any trouble.

However, not everyone has lost hope. A post on Reddit from user huhaizen brought the conversation to life again, and there is a wonder as to why Riot doesn’t already have a replay system after so many years of requests. Raxy echoed the sentiment. “It also reflects Agar.io lack of caring,” said Raxy, “Replay doesn’t pay.”

Adding more fuel to the fire, a YouTuber called “That Carrot Fella” made a replay-like system for Valorant in Unreal Engine 4 in order to showcase how such an aspect would help players to more readily accept and enhance their level of play. Questions about what Riot Games is up to set in.
