VCT after party led to serious accusations of sexual assault towards MrFunhaver by a content creator called saigey_babey. Find out the detailed events and explanation of what went down in this article!
Valorant afterparties — meant to be a place to vibe, connect and celebrate with the community quickly turned into a memory that left a bitter aftertaste.
Allegations of sexual assault have now come to light, and while the full picture remains blurry thanks to deleted tweets and vague responses, what’s clear is that something serious happened and this article will try to piece together everything that happened from the top. Let's get into it
Who Are the People Involved in the VCT Afterparty Controversy?
While we don’t exactly know what happened and why the ambulance was called, we do know that some of the people involved, @saigey_babey and Timothy, aka ‘Mrfunhaver’ were right in the middle of the events.
@saigey_babey’s Side
@saigey_babey — a content creator, started posting cryptic tweets about her being s*xually assaulted while she was drunk and how drunk people ‘can’t consent’. She then reposted multiple tweets, and then we had a name:
Who Is MrFunHaver?
Timothy, known online as MrFunHaver, is the founder of Funhaver, an org that’s helped organize multiple Tier 2 and Tier 3 Valorant LAN events. His reputation, up to this point, has been great. He’s widely known for building community spaces in the scene, and his online presence reflects that because even amid the allegations, his comment sections remain full of testaments for his character.
MrFunHaver’s Response
The tweet above is important as they contradict a key part of @saigey_babey’s accusation, which claimed he was sitting outside her hotel for 30 minutes. (This tweet has now been deleted)
The Voice Note Revealed By MrFunHaver
In reply to his previous tweet he released a confession by @saigey_babey talking about her ex “being really f*ucking weird so I started telling people he r*ped me”, This was used to imply a pattern in her behavior — positioning Tim as another “victim” of her accusations. But the internet was quick to point out: even if her past actions are questionable, that doesn’t automatically invalidate her current claims. His following tweet then doubled down on his character
@saigey_babey’s Follow Up
@saigey_babey took accountability for the accusations aimed at her while making it clear that she would not back down from what she believes actually happened. She has also made it known that the police and the legal system is involved and that she will be off that account for now:
Public Opinions Are Being Hidden?
While the matter in question is serious, what’s even more peculiar is the odd silence from the community. Most people are not sharing the full picture and even those who have raised their concerns have been met with backlash within DM’s by MrFunHaver’s friends themselves. Jay also followed up with a tweet questioning the situation further and hinted at other possible victims
While this article covers most of the events that transpired, some information may be left out due to being deleted for legal concerns or personal issues. While we cannot make judgements based solely off of what has transpired, it should be known that such issues should be discussed and that Riot should be involved seeing that MrFunHaver is such an important member in the community. It’s likely that both parties will not be discussing this matter further due to the legal direction it’s heading towards, so for now, it’s still unclear why the ambulance was called, and the exact timelines until someone comes forward. For now, be aware, stay safe and if you’re a victim, don’t be afraid to speak out.
