VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals 2025 is heading to Japan for the first time, with top teams like DRX, Paper Rex, Gen.G, and more battling for Champions slots.
VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals 2025 is all set to be held at LaLa Arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba, Japan. This is the first time the Pacific championship finals are happening outside South Korea, and it's a big moment for Japanese Valorant fans.
The tournament kicks off on July 15 at the SOOP Colosseum in Seoul, where group stage matches and most of the playoffs will happen until August 17. After that, the final showdown moves to Japan for two action-packed days on August 30 and 31. This shift clearly shows how much Valorant’s esports scene has grown in Japan over the years.
VCT Pacific Stage 2: Format Breakdown
There are two groups of six teams each, Alpha and Omega. Teams will play a single round-robin, and all matches will be best-of-three. Top four teams from each group move to the double-elimination playoffs.
- 1st place teams: straight to Upper Bracket Semis
- 2nd & 3rd: enter Upper Bracket Round 1
- 4th: start in the Lower Bracket
Alpha Group: Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), DRX, Gen.G Esports, NS RedForce, Global Esports, Team Secret
Omega Group: BOOM Esports, Talon Esports, T1, Paper Rex, ZETA DIVISION, DetonatioN FocusMe
The final two, the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, will be best-of-five. The top two teams from this stage will directly qualify for Champions 2025, while two more will make it through circuit points.
To celebrate the Japan finals, Riot is dropping a special theme song titled “Shinpai Muyou” by rapper Yuki Chiba on July 11. The music video will be streamed live on VCT Pacific’s YouTube, and Chiba will even perform live at the finals on August 31. That’s pretty cool for fans watching live or online.
