Which Country Could VALORANT’s Next Map Be Set In?

VALORANT has always impressed players with its creative map designs, each set in a real-world-inspired location. From Italy and Morocco to Japan and the U.S., every map brings a fresh environment and style to the game. With a new map expected in the ongoing VCT 2025 Masters Toronto, fans are beginning to wonder which country Riot Games might choose next.

Which Country Could VALORANT’s Next Map Be Set In?

Unfortunately, Riot hasn't revealed the location of its next map gonna be. However, a few interesting visuals were shared in the recent ‘5 Years of VALORANT // Act 3 Kickoff Trailer.’ While the map’s name hasn’t been announced, we got a short glimpse of its design, which already has fans talking.

The footage showed what appears to be an old fortress or castle-like structure, combined with icy terrain. This unusual mix of architecture and environment has led many to believe that the new map will be set in a colder and drier region of the world.

Many players on Reddit and YouTube have begun sharing theories based on what they saw in the trailer. The stone walls, snow-covered paths, and traditional castle design suggest a historic location with cold weather conditions.

Popular guesses include Austria, Switzerland, Norway, and even parts of Canada. These regions are known for their mountainous terrain, old castles, and harsh winter elements that seem to match the map teaser. Some fans also pointed out that the icy blue lighting and alpine vibes felt very “northern Europe".

As of June 2025, Valorant has introduced a total of 11 maps since its launch in 2020. The latest addition was Abysis, which was launched on June 11, 2024, with Patch 8.11. Since then, Riot has relied more on map rotations rather than the introduction of new maps. 

As always, Riot likes to keep things under wraps until the right moment, so until we get an official reveal, all we can do is speculate and enjoy the buildup.
