Wuthering Waves 2.2 Update: New Echoes and Abilities Revealed

Wuthering Waves has officially announced a set of new echoes for its upcoming version 2.2 update, set to launch globally on March 27, 2025. These echoes can be obtained through their respective Tacet Discords, as showcased in the latest livestream. For players who missed the reveal, here’s a detailed look at the new echoes and their abilities.

New Echo: Fleurdelys in Wuthering Waves 2/2 Update

• Threat Level: Calamity Class
• Description: Fleurdelys, the Fabricated Maiden, is a divine vessel created with precise orchestration. Her existence is a carefully controlled performance, dictated by fate itself.
• Location: Rinascita-Avinoleum-Holy Spire of Confluence
• Drops: Various Echo materials
• Echo Skill: Summons the Windcleaver to deal Aero DMG. When equipped in the main slot, it provides an Aero DMG Bonus. If used by Rover: Aero or ???, an additional Aero DMG Bonus is granted.
• Sonata Effect - Gusts of Welkin: Enhances Aero DMG output.
• 2-Piece Set Effect: Boosts Aero DMG.
• 5-Piece Set Effect: Inflicting Aero Erosion on enemies increases Aero DMG for all Resonators in the team, with an extra bonus for the activating Resonator.

 

Additional New Echoes in Wuthering Waves 2.2

Capitaneus

• Cost: 3
• Echo Skill: Summons Capitaneus to deal Spectro DMG to enemies. Equipping this in the main slot grants Spectro DMG and Heavy DMG Bonus to the character.

La Guardia

• Cost: 1
• Echo Skill: Transforms the user into La Guardia, dealing Physical DMG to enemies. Holding the skill launches a ranged attack.

Sagittario

• Cost: 1
• Echo Skill: The user transforms into Sagittario to inflict Spectro DMG. If attacked while moving in transformation, an enhanced Dodge Counter is triggered.

Sacerdos

• Cost: 1
• Echo Skill: Manifests Sacerdos on the battlefield, dealing Aero DMG to enemies.

Drake Echoes

• Glacio Drake - Summons a Glacio Drake to deal Glacio DMG.
• Electro Drake - Summons an Electro Drake to deal Electro DMG.
• Aero Drake - Summons an Aero Drake to deal Aero DMG.

Special Tacet Discords in Wuthering Waves 2.2

The update also introduces powerful echoes like Lumpylumen Myriad Nightmare and Reminiscence: Fleurdelys, which are Cost 4 Tacet Discords with unique effects. Reminiscence: Fleurdelys will be available as a weekly boss reward during the main quest in version 2.2.

What’s more in Wuthering Waves 2.2 Update

The biggest highlight of the next update is surely the introduction of Cantarella, a 5-star Havoc Resonator who wields a Rectifier, and her signature gun, "Whispers of Sirens." "Sea of Dreams" events with the Aero Rover as a playable character are also there in the list of expected content. The main story however will resume after  Chapter II Act IV, "The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier," and Cantarella's side story, "A Fleeting Night's Dream," deepens her character. 

New regions, such as Ragunna and Avinoleum in Rinascita, are newly accessible for exploration. The update also introduces special events like "Winds of the Past" and "Acropolis Documentarium," providing new challenges and rewards. Importantly, Wuthering Waves is set to release on Steam on April 29, 2025, making it more widely available.
