Zenless Zone Zero: Yixuan Release Date, Abilities, and Full Details

Zenless Zone Zero is surely entering some influential updates, with Yixuan being the most awaited character out of many. As the fervour around Season 2 starts building, here is everything you need to learn about this new, powerful agent entering the Hollow battlefield.

When is Yixuan entering Zenless Zone Zero? 

Yixuan will be released officially on June 4, 2025, along with the launch of Version 2.0. This coincides nicely with HoYoverse's normal six-week update schedule, with Version 1.7 banners ending June 3. The schedule was all but confirmed by HoYoLAB teasers and social media posts, while more confirmation will probably come soon in the form of an announcement trailer and livestream. 

Introduced as an NPC in Version 1.7, Yixuan trained the Phaethon siblings at Yunkui Summit in navigation through the Hollow and control of their implants. Now emerging as a fully playable S-Rank agent, Yixuan is a powerhouse when it comes to combat and is the leadership seat in her faction as her debut storyline unfolds at the Waifei Peninsula. 

Yixuan's Combat Style and Its Uniqueness

Yixuan will inject a new flavour into ZZZ's battlefield. Rumours suggest ether powers somewhat of a speciality-everything besides the Fire, Ice, or Electricity we know of. Thus, Yixuan's ether should be viewed as Hoshimi Miyabi's way of showing Frost, signifying an introduction to new combat mechanisms and strategic team synergy. So far, Yixuan appears to possibly be the first hero to hold something other than an Attacker, Anomaly, Support, Defence, or Stun speciality rarity, in all honesty. Sources tell of an aggressive playstyle; whether this translates to her being a pure DPS hero or somewhat of a hybrid-offensive support is still under wraps. 

One last element about Yixuan's combat style that's going to matter is the addition of another mystical creature, Qingming Bird, which so far makes her one of the alluring and lore-rich new additions. 

Not Just a New Character

Yixuan is just the beginning. Besides characters, Version 2.0 will add a storyline, new game mechanics, and Xbox Series X|S support to Zenless Zone Zero. Now that Season 2 will severely change New Eridu, it's good timing for Proxy veterans and rookies alike to buckle down and have some fun.
