Frostpunk 2: Can't wait to get your hands on the game? Here's how to get the beta!

Frostpunk 2 is scheduled for release on July 25th, but if you're eager to dive back into the post-apocalyptic city-building survival experience of Frostpunk sooner, you can join the beta for an early taste of the game. However, there are some specific requirements you'll need to meet to participate in the Frostpunk 2 beta. Let's delve into what you need to do to download and gain an early start on the game.

 

To access the beta, you'll need to pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Frostpunk 2 on Steam. While Frostpunk 2 will eventually launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, the beta is exclusive to PC via Steam. The beta access period will run from April 15th to 22nd. Typically priced at around 8000 INR, the Deluxe Edition is currently available at a discounted rate of 7000 INR.

In addition to beta access, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition grants you early access to the story mode 72 hours before the official release in July. Plus, you'll receive three future DLC packs upon release, along with the digital soundtrack, artbook, novella, and an exclusive in-game item.

To download the Frostpunk 2 beta, simply pre-order the Deluxe Edition on Steam. Once completed, you can download it from your Steam Library like any other game. Keep in mind that the beta features a sandbox mode called the "Utopia Builder Preview," so story content won't be accessible.

While the beta is currently limited to English and Simplified Chinese, the full release will support a much broader range of languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and more. In total, the full game will offer 14 languages, so if your native language isn't available in the beta, there's still hope for the final version.
