Hades 2: When will players start getting early access?

Hades 2 has made its debut in early access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, offering PC players the chance to dive into Supergiant's latest adventure. Alongside this surprise release, the developers revealed that the game is already larger in scope than its predecessor, although it is still far from being finished.

Just as they did with the original Hades back in 2018, Supergiant Games has launched Hades 2 in early access today, aiming to gather feedback from players and enhance the game based on that input over time. The team has emphasized that Hades 2 was crafted "from the ground up" with early access in mind, suggesting that it will evolve and improve steadily. As of now, the game is expected to stay in this testing phase "at least through the end of 2024," with no specific timeline for a full release or subsequent updates confirmed yet.

Despite being in early access, Hades 2 has already surpassed its predecessor in terms of content, according to Supergiant. This includes additional environments, enemies, voiced characters, and other features for players to dive into. However, the team has made it clear that significant elements such as key areas, characters, adversaries, narrative events, and systems are still in the works and will be introduced over time.

Although the game is not yet content complete, Supergiant plans to roll out major updates for Hades 2 every few months to enrich the experience. These updates will introduce new features and content, while smaller patches will be released in between to ensure smooth gameplay. Currently, the first significant update is scheduled for “later this year.”

Supergiant is diving back into refining the game while keeping a close eye on player feedback across platforms like Discord, Steam, and other social channels. They're keen on gathering insights to enhance Hades 2 before its eventual full release.
