Overwatch 2: What's new with Mirrorwatch?

Mirrorwatch, a limited-time mode in Overwatch 2, flips the script by turning heroes into villains and vice versa. Doomfist joins Overwatch while Reinhardt embraces his darker side with Talon. In this mirror universe, expect some heroes to sport new abilities, adding a fresh twist to the standard five-vs-five gameplay on random maps.

Starting on April 23 and running until May 14, Mirrorwatch offers players three weeks to complete challenges and earn rewards, including a coveted Legendary skin for Orisa.

In Mirrorwatch, 12 heroes get a makeover with new or updated abilities, adding a playful twist to the familiar Overwatch gameplay. Here's the rundown of heroes and their exclusive abilities for this limited-time mode:

1. Doomfist: Joins Overwatch with a new ability called "Guardian Slam," allowing him to leap into the air and slam the ground, dealing damage in an area.

2. Reinhardt: Aligns with Talon and gains the ability "Shadow Charge," enabling him to dash forward and slam enemies into walls, dealing damage and stunning them.

3. Orisa: Becomes a villain with "Overload," which temporarily boosts her movement speed and reduces incoming damage.

4. Zenyatta: Embraces chaos with "Dark Orbs," swapping his healing orbs for orbs that deal damage to enemies over time.

5. Sombra: Becomes a beacon of light for Overwatch with "Hypersight," revealing enemy locations for a short duration.

6. Genji: Takes a dark turn with "Shuriken Barrage," unleashing a flurry of shurikens that deal damage in a wide area.

7. Baptiste: Shifts allegiance to Talon and gains "Shadow Matrix," a powerful ability that blocks enemy projectiles and amplifies damage dealt by his weapons.

8. Tracer: Flips sides with "Temporal Distortion," creating a field that slows down enemies within its radius.

9. Mei: Joins forces with Talon and uses "Flame Stream," shooting a stream of fire instead of ice that damages enemies over time.

10. Torbjörn: Ditches his usual tools for "Vitality Turret," a turret that heals allies within its range.

11. Widowmaker: Fights for Overwatch with "Dark Venom Mine," deploying a mine that obscures enemy vision and deals damage over time.
