PlayStation Plus Collection for PS5 to shut down this year; Sony announces new games for PlayStation Plus- Here are all the details
The PlayStation Plus Collection which was a PS5 exclusive on the PlayStation Plus subscription service will soon be removed as per Sony latest announcement. They've also revealed the new games joining the service's catalog this month.
PlayStation Plus games catalog will be refreshed tomorrow, February 7. Four new games have been added to the offering for PlayStation 4 and 5, and will be available till March 6. Along with this, Sony PlayStation also announced that they’ll be shutting down the PlayStation Plus Collection. Here’s everything we know about these announcements.
PlayStation Plus new games for February 2023- Details
Four new games will arrive in the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games list for February. Titles announced include the survival horror based on the Evil Dead franchise from 2022, Evil Dead : The Game. OlliOlliWorld from 2K will also join the list along with Destiny 2: Beyond Light. All of these games are playable on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Mafia: The Definitive Edition is the fourth and final addition to the catalog of games for February 2023. It will be playable on PlayStation 4 only.
As new games join the service, the titles that were added in January will be leaving the catalog of PlayStation Plus. This includes games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2. Today is your last chance to enjoy the games for free with PlayStation Plus.
In India, PlayStation Plus is offered in 3 plans. These include Essential (the basic plan), Extra and Deluxe, which is the top tier.
PlayStation Plus Collection for PS5 to be removed- Details
Sony PlayStation has also announced that they’ll be shutting down the PlayStation Plus Collection. The Collection was introduced to PlayStation 5’s PlayStation Plus members with the console’s launch. It made 20 classic PlayStation 4 games available on the PS5 console with titles like God of War, Detroit: Become Human, The Last of Us Remastered and Call of Duty: Black Ops III- Zombie Chronicles Edition.
The PlayStation Plus Collection will be removed from the subscription service of PlayStation Plus on May 9th, 2023. Till then, the titles on PlayStation Plus Collection continue to be redeemable. Once redeemed, you can access these titles even after the Collection expires.
