For PC players, there are two different ways to change your name depending if you use either Steam or Origin. While console players have only one way to change their usernames. Here is a quick way given below on how to change your name in Apex Legends on all the platforms.

Changing your name on the PC

You can change your name on PC through either Steam or Origin launcher. There is the same procedure for both launchers with a few minor differences.
Changing Your Name in Steam
Open up Steam/Origin launcher.
Head to your profile.
Hit Edit Profile.
Replace your username.
Press Save Changes.
Changing your Apex name on Origin
On Origin, the same theory applies. You need to head to your profile page and click edit. Then:
Click on your username in the Origin launcher.
Press View Profile.
Hit Edit on EA.com.
On the EA website, hit Edit.
Type your new username.
Hit Save.

Changing Name on Console

Changing the name in the console is a bit of a tougher task than PC. On the console, your username in Apex is tied to your Gamertag. Therefore you'll need to change specifically your Gamertag to change your username in Apex Legends. On top of that, you won't be able to constantly switch it around like with Steam and Origin. However, it still is possible, and here are the details:

Changing Your Apex Legends Name on PlayStation
Although there is a slight difference between the PS4 and PS5 version, it's essentially the same idea:
Head to Settings.
Go to Account Information (Users and Accounts in PS5).
Go to Profile.
Then click on Online ID.
Create your new username.
Confirm the changes.

Changing Your Apex Name on Xbox

Changing the Apex name on Xbox is different from PlayStation. However, it's easy. How to do it is mentioned below:

Head to the Xbox Website.
Click Xbox Profile.
Press Customize.
Click the small pencil.
Enter your new tag.

Changing your Apex name on Nintendo Switch

Head to the Profile section by clicking your profile picture at the top of the screen.
Click the Profile option to view your username.
Press the pencil icon to change your name.
