You should look forward to these upcoming RPGs which would be worth the wait

RPG projects are often announced years in advance, creating extremely high expectations. Once the hype train starts rolling, it's challenging to stop. So, which upcoming RPGs are generating the most anticipation? We’re here to find out!

Well, well. We’re back with some more juicy scoops on the RPG games you NEED to look forward to! Role-playing games (RPGs) have always been a great part of the gaming industry for over thirty years. And every month, this genre introduces new and amazing titles, ranging from high-profile releases like Hogwarts Legacy, Octopath Traveler 2, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty to more niche projects such as Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society, 8-Bit Adventures 2, and Little Witch Nobeta. There's always an array of new RPGs on the horizon.

1)    Super Mario RPG Remake
Developed by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), this classic game is often considered one of the standout achievements in the Mario franchise. It also laid the foundation for the Paper Mario series. Nintendo has now confirmed that a remake of this beloved title is in the works for the Nintendo Switch.
Notably, the game's visuals have undergone a 3D transformation while still maintaining the original title's charm. Additionally, it appears that there will be some gameplay adjustments, although the full extent of these changes may only become clear upon the game's official release.

2)    Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 Reload, announced in conjunction with Persona 5 Tactica, is an eagerly anticipated release, particularly for fans of tactical games. It represents a complete remake of Atlus' beloved turn-based JRPG. Given that the original release is considered one of the standout titles on both the PS2 and PSP, expectations for the remake are sky-high. However, the track record of P-Studio, the development team, speaks for itself.

3)    The New Witcher Saga
Setting aside subjective opinions, The Witcher 3 is undeniably one of the most acclaimed RPGs in the history of gaming. For the longest time, it appeared that the 2015 release would be the final mainline entry in CD Projekt Red's franchise. However, in 2022, the developer surprised fans by announcing several new Witcher projects.

In addition to a remake of 2007's The Witcher, CD Projekt Red revealed that a new saga is currently in development. The studio has been relatively secretive about the details, only confirming that the upcoming games will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.

4)    Hades 2
Hades, released in 2020, is widely recognized as a remarkable achievement in the roguelite genre, but it's important to note that it's also an outstanding action RPG. Supergiant Games has officially announced that a sequel is in development, and it will feature Zagreus' sister as the protagonist. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, Hades 2 will see the Underworld in turmoil due to the actions of Chronos, the Titan of Time and Hades' father.

While it's likely that Melinoë, the main character, will be tasked with stopping the Titan, Supergiant Games is known for crafting nuanced and complex stories, so players can expect a rich narrative in Hades 2.

5)    The Elder Scrolls 6
The existence of The Elder Scrolls 6 was a matter of anticipation, but Bethesda has only provided a teaser so far. Apart from a few minor details that can be inferred from the brief footage released, the game remains shrouded in mystery. However, The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of those upcoming RPGs that generates immense hype simply by its existence.

Realistically, Bethesda's sequel is still a few years away from being officially released, and the publisher will likely refrain from heavy marketing until after the completion of the Starfield cycle.W
