Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Introduces Mastery Badges – Unlock and Flex Your Skills
Discover Black Ops 6's new progression system—Mastery Badges. Earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold badges for weapons and equipment, unlock Diamond Badges, and showcase your skills in multiplayer and Zombies modes.

Black Ops 6 is bringing a fresh new way to flex your skills with Mastery Badges—medals that prove just how good you are with each weapon and piece of equipment. Whether it’s showing off your Mastery camos or leveling up through the Prestige system, Mastery Badges are here to give you even more bragging rights.
What are Mastery Badges?
Mastery Badges are a new progression system in Black Ops 6 that reward you for mastering weapons, equipment, and Scorestreaks. They’re available in both multiplayer and Zombies, and each item comes with three badges: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Once earned, these badges will appear in your Showcase and can be displayed in the Winner’s Circle at the end of each match. Plus, enemy players can see your badges in the KillCam, letting them know exactly how experienced you are with that weapon!
How to Unlock Mastery Badges
To unlock a Mastery Badge, you need to complete a set of objectives for each weapon, equipment, or Scorestreak. Once you’ve earned all three badges (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), you’ll also unlock a Diamond Badge for the entire category, like Assault Rifles or SMGs.
Here are some examples of objectives you'll need to complete:
- Weapons: Get eliminations with the weapon.
- Frag Grenade: Score kills with the grenade.
- Prox Alarm Tactical Equipment: Eliminate enemies detected by your Prox Alarm.
- Trophy System: Intercept enemy projectiles with the Trophy System.
- RC-XD: Get kills using the RC-XD.
The number of kills or objectives required will increase as you progress through the badge tiers.

Mastery Badge Rewards
Once you’ve unlocked the Gold Mastery Badge for an item, you’ll also get a special Stat Tracker attached to the badge. This tracker shows the number of kills, damage, blocks, or other stats you’ve accumulated so far. It’ll be visible for all to see in the Winner’s Circle or during KillCams.
While the Bronze and Silver badges are mostly for cosmetic flexing, earning the Diamond Badge also gives you a sweet XP Bonus for completing a category!
