Esports World Cup 2025 sets a new standard with a $70M prize pool across 25 games, larger than many sports events. Check the full game-wise breakdown.

If there was ever any doubt that esports is entering a new era, the Esports World Cup 2025 just shattered it. With a record-breaking $70 million prize pool spread across 25 different games, this year’s event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,  is truly something that is redefining the  esports era. Leave esports. When was the last time  you heard such a massive prize pool in any event, including sports?

For years, the industry has come up with the idea of an Olympic-like event for esports, but that was just a mere suggestion for years. Ultimately, it was last year when it finally confirmed that the Esports Olympic Series is becoming a reality. But still, it is slated for 2027, and currently, the center of attention is the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This mega event will feature 25 different esports titles and over 2000 individual players participating in the tournament to get a share in the massive prize pool. Almost all esports titles got a fair share from the $70 million prize pool. Infact, some games at EWC are offering larger prize pools than their flagship annual events.
