Call of Duty adds a tonne of new weapons to both Warzone battle royale and the multiplayer game that’s currently in rotation with every new season. The FR Avancer assault rifle is one of the new weapons coming to Modern Warfare 2, which is still the main game while the hype for Medal of Honour III builds. That is how to obtain it.
Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 is expected to be the penultimate or final season of the game's lifespan. It will also host a Call of Duty 2023 reveal event, where developers will showcase their most recent creations and what players can expect from the upcoming game. That doesn't mean there won't be any content in the update, though, as there will be new maps like Call of Duty 4’s Strike as well as a tonne of new weapons and modes.
Players are hoping for something to rival the Cronen Squall, and with the Warzone meta constantly changing, the FR Avancer might be among the best weapons in the game. But how exactly do you get it?
Access FR Avancer in MW2 and Warzone
It will be quite easy to unlock the FR Avancer in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2; all you need to do is get to Battle Pass Sector E8. “With a blinding fire rate and exceptional manoeuvrability, this aggressive bullpup rifle can dominate the battlefield,” is how the FR Avancer is described.
An assault rifle's strong hip-fire spread also renders it useful in close-quarters combat. The weapon's easy-to-learn recoil pattern, according to the developers, makes it ideal for close-quarters gunfights.
It's unclear if it will replace Warzone's greatest weaponry meta, but you'll definitely want to level it up at launch, just in case.
