Leaks suggest a jaw-dropping collection of new gliders, sported generously by Neuvillette
We have some amazing news for all our fellow Travelers. A recent leak in Genshin Impact has shown us a glimpse of how the upcoming five-star character, Neuvillette, appears when they’re equipped with different Gliders.
Neuvillette is one of the two playable characters announced for version 4.1, alongside the game's first Cryo catalyst user, Wriothesley. In Genshin Impact, Gliding is a unique mechanic that allows Travelers to gracefully traverse the skies. To activate this ability, players simply need to press the jump button while airborne. While these Gliders don't really us offer any additional stats that you can play around with, they're pretty useful when it comes to dolling up your characters, allowing our travelers to customize their characters' appearance while they glide.
A recent leak shared has given players a glimpse of how Neuvillette, the upcoming Hydro catalyst user in Genshin Impact, appears with different Gliders. Among the eight Gliders presented in the leak, fans have noted that the recently introduced "Wings of Merciful" complements Neuvillette's design quite well. This choice makes sense, as the "Wings of Merciful" Wind Glider was introduced in Genshin Impact version 4.0 and can be obtained by reaching Reputation Level 10 in the Fontaine region.
You guys can earn Reputation XP by completing quests, requests, bounties, and exploring Teyvat (and also finishing your dailies!). In addition to Gliders, Reputation rewards include items such as Food Recipes, Namecards, Forging Blueprints, and more.
Neuvillette appears to be a formidable character in the Fontaine region, as demonstrated in a cutscene where he easily defeated Childe, one of the Fatui Harbingers. There are even rumors suggesting that he might be stronger than the Fontaine Archon, which is quite unusual, as Archons are typically the most powerful characters in their respective regions.
In terms of the main gameplay, previous known leaks have shown that Neuvillette possesses a unique Charged Attack mechanic. By extending his charging time, he can unleash a potent Hydro beam attack with amazing AoE damage. However, this attack comes at the cost of Neuvillette's own HP too. Fortunately, there are many Hydro characters in Genshin Impact who have large amounts of HP, pretty much mitigating this drawback.
While HoYoverse has yet to confirm Neuvillette's exact role in a party, players guess that he will likely serve as the main DPS character in various team compositions. But hey, to get more information about this Hydro user, you guys will need to wait for HoYoverse to host the live stream event for Genshin Impact version 4.1, which should provide further insights into his abilities and role.
