Lies of P to Introduce New Difficulty Options and Game Modes in Upcoming Update
Lies of P gets two new difficulty modes and a boss rush mode with the Overture DLC in Summer 2025. Discover how these updates improve accessibility and extend the action RPG’s replay value.

Both Neowiz and Round8 Studio are working on a big update for their well-received Lies of P title, adding two new difficulty modes and a boss rush mode. Launching together with the Lies of P: Overture DLC in summer 2025, the upcoming content expansion should increase accessibility and make the game more enjoyable for many players.
New Difficulty Modes
Introduced for its complex battle scenes and demanding gameplay, the game will soon let players select how hard they want their campaign to be. Those wanting the classic high-risk adventure will have the “Legendary Stalker” setting, as before. Two new modes called “Butterfly’s Dream” and “Awakened Puppet” will range from easy to difficult. This way, users of all skill levels can immerse themselves in the game’s setting and plot without facing the same test at the beginning, an experience only available to people with a single card deck before.
New Game Mode
Another addition with the update is “Death March,” a new mode where players fight through one challenge after another from the game’s toughest bosses. Those who would like to learn how to play effectively in demanding situations usually play this mode. Now, players can access Battle Memories to replay previous battles and use what they’ve learned to try new tactics or relive the highlights of the game.
In the first month, after being launched in September 2023, Lies of P reached seven million players and sold more than one million copies. The features to come are a sign of the developers’ efforts to respond to what the community wants and help the game last longer.
The addition of these features is set to make Lies of P a leading example for action RPGs, with both its wider reach and well-rounded content.
