New Boss coming in Genshin Impact version 4.2? Here's what the leaks tell us?
Travelers! We’re back with some more exciting Genshin news. A recent leak from Genshin Impact has come out and told us that Childe's whale will be introduced as a new weekly boss in version 4.2, set to arrive later this year.

In recent weeks, there have been numerous leaks regarding upcoming enemies, including indications that a lineup of "Local Legends" will be added to Genshin Impact in version 4.1. Some trusted leakers have also told people that players will encounter new foes in version 4.1 of the Spiral Abyss, such as the Mirror Maidens and Seneschal of Wind.
As you guys must already know, Genshin Impact basically has a roster of weekly bosses that players can challenge to earn special rewards like artifacts and ascension materials. These evil little guys have their own unique abilities, attributes, and backgrounds, and they are associated with specific regions in the world of Teyvat (and are super annoying to beat at times).
But also, they play a significant role in the game's Archon storyline. Beyond the Spiral Abyss, players often take on these weekly bosses to test the limits of their character builds. With the introduction of the Fontaine region, you guys can expect the inclusion of more weekly bosses from this area in future updates.
According to a leak from Uncle Regret, Childe's whale will be the next weekly boss introduced in Genshin Impact later this year. It's also suggested that this is the same one that Childe encountered during his time in the Abyss. However... the leak gains credibility as the shadow of the whale was previously seen in a trailer dedicated to Genshin Impact's Fontaine region. When it arrives in version 4.2, players are likely to venture underwater to locate and confront this boss on a weekly basis.
Many players in the Genshin Impact community on Reddit already assume that the boss fight with Childe's whale will take place underwater. Some people even think that this whale might be responsible for corrupting the primordial water, which could explain why Childe was proved guilty. However, it's important to note that this leak should be taken with a grain of salt until it's officially confirmed by Hoyoverse.
Childe, also known as Tartaglia, is a Hydro bow user in Genshin Impact with strong DPS potential and a versatile skill set. While his individual damage output may be lower than some other five-star characters, he offers great utility to a team thanks to his ability to switch between melee and long-range attacks. Childe can perform a series of consecutive attacks, deal Hydro damage to nearby enemies, and switch to a melee stance during combat. Besides being a playable character, he also serves as a weekly boss encounter in Liyue Harbor. But we can't wait for this, can we guys?
