Silent Hill director claims Konami is making "several" Silent Hill games to "revive the franchise"
These statements all but confirm reports about Bloober Team remaking Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill movie director has just claimed that Konami has several Silent Hills games in development. He recently sat down for an interview where he made this claim. Christophe Gans directed Silent Hill movie which came out in 2006. He has reportedly written the script for a new Silent Hill movie as well.
Silent Hill games in development
Speaking in a French video interview with Movie and Game (translated by Resetera user Angie), Gans said, ““I know a bit about the [next Silent Hill game]. I work with the Silent Team, the original creators. I work in collaboration with Konami.”
He added, “I’m working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise, I think they were really impressed of the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games.”
Gans was quizzed by the interviewer about who was developing these Silent Hill games and he replied, “It’s Konami, there are several games.”
While that certainly does not give away which studio is currently working on these titles, it was reported earlier that Bloober Team is remaking Silent Hill 2, regarded as one of the best horror video games of all time.
Gans’ comments certainly come as a revelation who also said that Konami is looking to “revive the franchise”. If you’re a fan of horror video games, Silent Hill needs no introduction. It has been one of the most iconic horror game franchises. It’s also been reported several times over the years that the failed Silent Hill game, with the infamous P.T demo on PS4, was one of the key reasons why Konami and Hideo Kojima separated.
We reached out to Konami for an official statement but haven’t received an immediate response yet.
