Sleepy Gamers: Diablo 4 Puts Players to Sleep
Sleepy adventures await in Diablo 4 as players reveal the game's repetitive nature lulls them into drowsiness during gameplay.

Even though they generally enjoy the game, some players of Diablo 4 have confessed that it occasionally makes them doze off while playing. Diablo 4 was released just over a month ago, and discussions about its pros and cons continue to dominate conversations.
The ZZZZ's of Diablo 4: Players Share Their Sleepy Experiences
Though Diablo 4's main storyline and accompanying content were highly praised upon release, players have found the endgame features, social aspects, and loot system lacking. With Season 2 yet to arrive, some players are having difficulty staying engaged with the current state of the game, as its monotony has started to make many feel dozy during gameplay.
According to a post on Reddit by user Qahnarinn, fellow Diablo 4 players were asked, "Do you get sleepy playing?"
The user clarified that they meant no offence, but their "boring build" and the repetitive nature of pressing the same buttons over and over again makes them feel so drowsy that they start "dozing off."
Responses to the post revealed that the original poster is not alone in experiencing this phenomenon with the latest Diablo installment. Another user admitted, "Thought it was just me, I start bobbing for apples after an hour, doesn’t matter the time of day."
Someone else compared the experience to highway hypnosis, where you are performing a task, one that you safely and correctly do all the time, and your mind enters a lull so to speak."
Other players pointed out different aspects of Diablo 4 that contribute to sleepiness. The slow-paced combat, lack of significant threats (except in Hardcore mode), dull colours, relaxing music, and repetitive gameplay can easily lead to players drifting off.
It will be interesting to see if players still feel the same way once Blizzard releases Season 1 content for Diablo 4.
