Valve's latest is the Steam Deck's Docking Station market launch and a goof up featuring Nintendo's Yuzu
Valve has announced the market launch of the Steam Deck Docking Station in their latest update via a video. However, that's not all the video did. To know more about the latest on the Steam Deck from Valve, read on.
Valve came up with a major update for the Steam Deck, in a video earlier this Saturday. However, more than the series of announcements, it was a botch-up on Valve’s part that made more ripples. Apparently, the Nintendo emulator Yuzu made an appearance on the Steam Deck. Ironic as this sounds, we’ll be getting into all the latest announcements on the Steam Deck from Valve.

Valve has already rolled out the update to accommodate the adjustable features of the docking station on the Steam Deck. That includes new settings for scaling, resolution, refresh rates, and compatibility with the display. Valve has also informed that they’ll be rolling out regular updates for the Dock as well, just like they do for the Deck.
Steam Deck receives new software updates
Valve has also briefly outlined the new software updates that have been rolled out. These obviously include UIE improvements with quick links to Achievements and Guides, and a redesign of the media page. The offline mode has also reportedly been improved for more stability, and here’s where we’ll take up the earlier “goof-up” on Valve’s part that we mentioned.
In the illustration of the video where Valve elaborated on the “More Stable Offline Mode”, eagle-eyed fans noticed Yuzu on the catalog of games of the Deck illustrated. Yuzu is a commercially available emulator for the Nintendo Switch, which upon installation will allow your device to work like the handheld. Given that the Deck is a competitor of the Switch, the presence of the emulator on a video from the company, and the Deck itself for the matter, makes this such an “oops” moment. Soon after Tweeter Nibel flagged the matter, Valve took down the video before republishing the update with the picture of the Nintendo emulator this time. However, the time span that passed in between, is long enough for trollers to have their day.

Other Updates
Valve has also announced that the Steam Deck can now be purchased without any reservations. The Steam Deck has now also been introduced to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Purchases here however can be made via reservations alone. India, on the other hand has still not made it to the list.
In other news, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that your Steam accounts can now be linked with your PSN accounts. The PC Registration option on the official PlayStation website, will allow you to link the accounts together. Sony had earlier enabled PSN account linking with Discord as well.
