Team Rebel emerge to be the champions of BGMI - The Rising event
BGMI: Rising The Comeback has concluded, leaving behind an unforgettable saga of triumphs, surprises, and stellar memories. Team Rebel has emerged to be the champions of the event.
BGMI - The Rising, the first tournament after the game's return has finally concluded and it's Team Rebel that emerged to be the champions of it. The four-day action-packed tournament had some great moments where content creators and esports players played against each other. The tournament had a massive prize pool of INR 10 lakh out of which the winner "Team Rebel" received a massive chunk of INR 2.5 lakh.
BGMI - The Rising featured 64 teams consisting of popular content creators and esports athletes. The tournament was an integration of BGMI competitive matches and fun matches in the form of melee weapon matches. The tournament was so intense that big names including Mortal and Ghatak failed to qualify for the further stages.
The Grand Finals of the tournament was a nail-biter for the fans as the points gap between the top three teams was way too close. But thanks to the Chicken Dinner in the final match, Team Rebel emerged to be the table topper with 113 points. Team Jonathan and Team Owais acquired the second and third positions with 103.5 and 102.5 points respectively. Team Jonathan, who could have easily won the tournament was penalized 15 points for breaking rules. The points were deducted following the use of a gun by Jonathan in a Melee weapon match.
The award for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) was won by Justin from Team Pahadi Gaming. Since the tournament was a part of the celebration of Battlegrounds Mobile India's return, it featured multiple fun categories to reward the players and entertain viewers at the same time. The categories included - Fashionista (the best outfit), Emotes King (best emotes by male), Emotes Queen (best emotes by female), Panster (player with most pan finishes), Captain Cool, Reelster, and the Best Dance Group.
